We are excited that Mindcandy has agreed to provide the brand new Mindacandy 3 blu-ray for the top 3 winners in the Combined Demo category at PixelJam!
Their work is a labor of love and a great way to introduce the demoscene to people not familiar with it. It’s also a great resource if you don’t have time to sit on pouet all day. If you want the best of the best, check out Mindcandy!

RULES FOR TEXTMODE GRAPHICS ENTRIES TO PIXELJAM:
- Remote entries ARE allowed in this category.
- Deadlines for entries is Saturday, April 20th, 5:00 PM EST
- Maximum size is 80×1000 (80 columns, 1,000 lines).
- Must be saved in ANSI, ASCII or XBIN format (XBIN preferred).
- Palette and font modification may be utilized in XBIN.
- Each image will be displayed on the screen for 30 seconds.
- ACiD View 6 for Windows will be used to display all entries.
- Provide at least 3 intermediate working stages depicting the steps in creating the final work. The working images must be named “step1.???, “step2.???” and “step3.???”, where ??? is your file name extension.

RULES FOR FREESTYLE MUSIC ENTRIES TO PIXELJAM:
- Remote entries are permitted in this category.
- Deadlines for entries is Saturday, April 20th, 5:00 PM EST
- Maximum playtime is 10 minutes.
- Only the first 4 minutes of a song will be played during the competition.
- Entries must be submitted in either WAV, MP3, OGG or FLAC or, for tracked entries, a format compatible with MODPlug
- Please include information in the README.TXT regarding the tools, programs or instruments used in the process of making the piece.
- Entries will be played in the most current version of Winamp, with no plugins or equalization settings, other than those required to play any of the four formats indicated above.

In this WINNER from the WILD CATEGORY of 2010, Jon Satrom’s Velocanim_RBW_X DEMO is based on “Windows, icons and velociraptors scripted in AppleScript.” Satrom writes that “This video is a concatenation of two separate recordings due to limited disc-space on my hard-drive. (That’s why you see my mouse at 01:05) The script executes the entire demo sequentially with no user input needed.”
